From March 11 to 17, 2023, the first student meeting took place on the island of Usedom as part of the ERASMUS+ funded project "Protecting Human Rights – Taking Responsibility." In this project, 40 students from Poland, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Germany learn about human rights at historic sites across Europe. During the training, teaching, and learning activities, the young people visited Świnoujście and the Golm Youth Meeting Center, where they met with time witnesses and helped organize a memorial event at the war gravesite. On March 15 and 16, they visited the Historical-Technical Museum and the Peenemünde memorial landscape, and worked in small groups to develop a virtual learning kit.
