Protecting human rights – taking responsibility

ERASMUS+ Project 2022-2025

In the ERASMUS+ funded project ‘Protecting Human Rights – Taking Responsibility’, 40 students from Poland, Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany learn about human rights at historical learning sites in Europe.

Through joint project work, the young people are sensitized to European history and, at the same time, their awareness of the European Union is strengthened. The history and topic of human rights are reflected upon at different levels and compared across countries. In the process, the pupils from the four participating countries get to know and understand each other and recognize that human rights have not always been a matter of course and that, in the future, each individual can and must contribute to respecting, protecting and promoting human dignity. The project thus also responds to the current social, political and economic upheaval and the crisis situation in Europe.
